Pelvic droop
Pelvic droop is a clinical manifestation of pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP). It is a low-grade malignant myxoma that occurs in the abdominal wall, the omentum, and the intestinal wall. The main complaint is abdominal distension, and there are recurrent sensations of discomfort or pelvic ptosis in the right lower abdomen. The right lower abdomen has mass or intestinal obstruction, peritonitis and other complications. The misdiagnosis rate is as high as 89.7%. The examination may have ascites signs and borderline insufficiency. Clear nodules are often misdiagnosed as cirrhosis, tuberculous peritonitis, and abdominal cysts, which delay treatment.
