Precocious puberty
Precocious puberty refers to the early appearance of puberty, that is, women with enlarged gonadal and secondary sexual characteristics before the age of 8, or menstruation before the age of 10, men develop before the age of 9. According to different pathogenesis, precocious puberty can be generally divided into two categories: gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) -dependent precocious puberty (true precocious puberty) and non-GnRH-dependent precocious puberty (pseudoprecocious puberty); the former is called the central Precocious puberty or complete precocious puberty, the latter is called peripheral precocious puberty. In addition, incomplete precocious puberty, such as simple premature breast development and simple pubic hair premature, some scholars have classified it as a variant type of adolescent development.
