Cardiac beat
There is a soft place on the top of the baby's head that can sometimes be seen, which is medically called the cardia. There are two main types of cardia at birth: one is called quiet, in the front of the top of the head, is composed of the anterior upper corners of the parietal bones on both sides and the frontal bone. The other is called the posterior condyle, which is composed of the intersection of the parietal bone and the occipital bone. At the back of the head, it is usually small or closed at birth, and closed at the latest 2 to 4 months.
