Carotid pain
Pain that begins in the common carotid, external carotid, and maxillary arteries. It is characterized by tenderness, swelling, and specific pulsation on one side of the common carotid artery, which occurs periodically, mostly unilaterally. Without visual impairment, no systemic symptoms, when accompanied by systemic symptoms, may be associated with cranial arteritis. 90% can heal naturally.
