Senile macular degeneration

Senile macular degeneration is also called age-related macular degeneration or aging macular degeneration. Most of them start around 50 years of age, and the older they are, the higher the prevalence. The incidence was not significantly related to gender and race. Both eyes were injured simultaneously or successively. Due to different clinical manifestations, it is divided into atrophic and exudative types. The former is more common, and the latter is only 1/10 to 15 of the former.
