Typical broken silvery appearance of the central posterior cornea
Corneal changes: Fuchs endothelial dystrophy has the typical shattered silver appearance of the central back of the cornea and is often referred to as "cornea guttata". Fuchs endothelial dystrophy, also known as cornea guttata, is a common phenomenon and its incidence increases significantly with age. In many patients with drip cornea, other aspects of the cornea are normal and do not affect vision. Corneal stroma and epithelial edema occur in a small number of patients and can cause significant loss of vision.
