Shock sensation when foreign matter is touched under the thyroid cartilage
The thyroid cartilage is a square cartilage in front of the neck, one on the left and one on the right. It is connected directly in front of the neck. Under the thyroid cartilage, a foreign body can be touched and shaken. This is the symptom when there is a foreign body in the trachea. The foreign body is just inhaled. Its symptoms are similar to those of the throat. In the future, active foreign bodies move with the airflow, which can cause paroxysmal cough and dyspnea. At the end of expiration, you can hear the foreign bodies impacting the tracheal wall and the subglottic flapping sound.
