Transverse colon ptosis
The length of the transverse colon is often referred to as the spleen flexure syndrome. Due to the long length of the transverse colon, some sag to the pelvis, and the liver and spleen are relatively fixed. Acute angles are formed at the liver and spleen, and drainage resistance increases. In patients with constipation that develops for a longer period of time, the transverse colon may gradually lose function.
