Shrinks on the surface of the lesion under cold irritation
When a single or cluster of painful papules or nodules appear clinically, and the skin surface shrinks under cold stimulation, skin leiomyomatosis should be considered. Cutaneous leiomyoma (leiomyoma cutis) is a benign tumor composed of skin neutral hair muscle, sarcolemma, or vascular wall smooth muscle. Skin smooth muscles are rare, mainly found in the hairy muscles near the hair follicles, muscle fibers around the deep subcutaneous blood vessels, and smooth muscle bundles in the scrotum and labia.
