Extra-bone mass

Central chondrosarcoma is a chondrosarcoma originating in the bone. The main symptoms are deep pain, not severe, and non-persistent. In the advanced stage of the tumor, large spherical extra-bone masses can form. There are obvious predilection sites, in order: femur (especially proximal), pelvis, proximal humerus, scapula, and proximal tibia. The sites of softness are other bones of the trunk, radius, ulna, feet, and hands (chondroma is common in the hand and rare in the trunk bone).
