Vitamin B2 deficiency
Vitamin B2 deficiency (vitamineB2deficiency), also known as riboflavin deficiency, is a more common form of nutritional deficiency. In some developing countries, the prevalence is extremely high. Common clinical symptoms are scrotal dermatitis, oral erosion, seborrheic dermatitis, conjunctival hyperemia, photophobia, and tearing. The mechanism of skin and mucosal damage caused by vitamin B2 deficiency may be because riboflavin deficiency can cause B6 deficiency under certain conditions. Both vitamin deficiency can cause skin and mucous membrane damage due to affecting the collagen maturation process of the skin.
