Hypertonic coma

Hypertonic non-ketogenic diabetic coma, referred to as hyperosmolar coma, is a rare and serious complication of acute diabetes. Its main clinical features are severe hyperglycemia, dehydration, and elevated plasma osmotic pressure without obvious Ketoacidosis.
