Anal perineal area is wet and dirty
Fecal incontinence in the elderly or anal incontinence refers to incontinent defecation and exhaust at least 2 or more times a day. It is a clinical symptom with various pathophysiological bases caused by various reasons. The incidence rate of the elderly is about 1%. Older patients are more common than men. Fecal incontinence is common in the elderly. Mild fecal incontinence is often not valued by patients and doctors. There are not many reports of morbidity. On physical examination, the perineal area of the anus was wet and unclean.
