Reduced lung texture

Changes in lung texture are affected by a variety of factors. Any lesions in the structure that make up the lung pattern will cause changes in the lung. Lung patterns are scarce and are due to excessive expansion of the lung volume, such as emphysema. Streaks are also rare. Reduced lung texture in most cases means reduced and thinner pulmonary blood vessels, the so-called "pulmonary ischemia sign."
