Lung adenocarcinoma
Lung adenocarcinoma is a type of lung cancer that belongs to non-small cell carcinoma. Unlike squamous cell lung cancer, lung adenocarcinoma is more likely to occur in women and non-smokers. Originated from the bronchial mucosal epithelium, a few originated from the mucous glands of the large bronchus. Incidence rate is lower than squamous cell carcinoma and undifferentiated cancer, younger age, relatively common in women. Most adenocarcinomas originate in smaller bronchi and are peripheral lung cancers. There are usually no obvious clinical symptoms in the early stage, and they are often found on chest X-ray examination. Appears as a round or oval mass, generally slower growth, but sometimes hematogenous metastasis occurs early. Lymphatic metastases occur later.
