Pediatric esophageal chemical burns
Chemical corrosion injuries of the esophagus are more common in children under 5 years of age, and are generally caused by the ingestion of strong acids and alkalis. In recent years, chemical damage to the esophagus has decreased. The occurrence area is more in the north than in the south, and the incidence is relatively high in rural areas in northern and central China. In addition, lysin, potassium permanganate and iodine are also common in the clinic.
