In China in the 1960s, a general population ALT survey was carried out. Asymptomatic serum ALT increases accounted for about 5% -10% of the population. After the development of HBsAg testing, it was found that the detection rate of HBsAg was three times that of normal ALT patients, and nearly half of those with single ALT elevations were hepatitis B without jaundice.
