Facial-shoulder-brachial muscular dystrophy is a clinical manifestation of muscular dystrophy, which is characterized by facial muscle weakness, often asymmetry, inability to show teeth, raised lips, closed eyes and frowns. Muscular dystrophy is a group of primary skeletal muscle necrotic diseases characterized by progressive skeletal muscle weakness caused by genetic factors. It is clinically manifested by progressively aggravated skeletal muscle atrophy and weakness in different degrees and distribution . It can also affect the heart muscle.
