Pericardial incision and drainage

After purulent pericarditis is diagnosed, pericardiotomy and drainage should be performed without delay. Pericardial incision and drainage precautions: 1. If the pleura is damaged, it should be repaired as much as possible. 2. Thoroughly divide the cellulose in the pericardium, remove the cellulose and pus, and rinse the pericardial cavity and the anterior mediastinum. 3. Completely stop bleeding when removing the anterior wall of the pericardium, and remove it while stopping bleeding. 4. The side hole of the drainage tube must be at the lowest position when the patient is in a semi-recumbent position.
