Temporal approach lacrimal gland excision
When a tumor of the lacrimal gland or chronic lacrimal gland is surgically removed, there are usually two approaches, namely the temporal approach and the anterior approach. For removal of huge lacrimal gland tumors and particularly hypertrophic lacrimal glands, or tumors that are not large in size but extend behind the eyeballs, temporal approach surgery should be selected. This operation is basically the same as the kr & ouml; nlein operation in orbital surgery. However, there are special requirements for lacrimal gland removal.
