Pediatric nodular panniculitis

Nodular panniculitis (NP), also known as Weber-Christian disease or relapsing nodular nonsuppurative febrile panniculitis, is a recurrent subcutaneous fatty layer of inflammatory nodules A disease characterized by systemic symptoms such as plaque and fever. The disease was first reported by Pfeifer in 1882. Weber described the disease as recurrent and non-purulent in 1952, and Christian emphasized fever in 1928. The clinical manifestations of this disease are not uncommon. Due to its diverse clinical manifestations, NP can occur at any age, but it is more common in women aged 30 to 50. The ratio of female to male is about 2.5: 1, which is not easy to recognize and often causes misdiagnosis.
