Serum proline hydroxylase
PH is the basis for collagen to maintain the stable structure of triple helix and is a key step in collagen synthesis. PH is a glycoprotein. Intrahepatic PH activity gradually increased with the progress of liver fibrosis. The enzyme activity mainly reflects the activity of liver fibrosis. Monoclonal antibodies were used to determine the serum immunoreactive PH content, which increased significantly when chronic active hepatitis was accompanied by detrital necrosis, inflammation, and active liver cirrhosis. The serum pH level was related to the degree of liver fibrosis and serum PⅢP levels.
