Beryllium poisoning
Beryllium and its salts are all relatively toxic. Beryllium poisoning is a systemic disease caused by beryllium and its compounds eroding the lungs and affecting other organs. It is clinically divided into acute beryllium poisoning and chronic beryllium poisoning. The clinical manifestations of acute beryliuc mpoisoning are chemical bronchitis and pneumonia. Chronic beryllium poisoning causes pulmonary granulomatous lesions and is a systemic disease, also known as beryliosis. Workers in the production and processing of beryllium and its compounds (such as beryllium smelting, beryllium alloy manufacturing, etc.) can be professionally exposed to beryllium dust or smoke, causing beryllium poisoning.
