Gastric lactate qualitative test

Under normal circumstances, fasting gastric juice contains very little lactic acid. Lactic acid is a weak organic acid and cannot be separated when the gastric acidity is normal, so the qualitative test is negative. When gastric juice is in a low-acid or acid-free state, food can be broken down by bacteria to produce lactic acid, which increases the lactic acid content in gastric acid.
