Water load ADH suppression test
The water load ADH inhibition test checks for the presence of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SLADH). SLADH refers to the abnormal increase in antidiuretic hormone (ADH) secretion or abnormal activity in the body, which leads to water retention, increased urinary sodium excretion, and dilute hyponatremia.
