Corneal lens adhesion
Due to Peter's abnormality, some eyes may have corneal lens adhesions in the central part, accompanied by shallow anterior chamber ridges, while others are anterior polar cataracts. In 1897, Von Hippel reported a case of bull's eye with central corneal opacities and adhesion to the iris. In 1906 Peter described some cases now known as Peter anomaly. For over a century, there has been a debate as to whether this disease is a simple disease or a composition of multiple diseases with the same manifestations.
