Anti-ENA antibody
Nuclear antigen has three components: histone, DNA, and soluble nuclear antigen, which is soluble in phosphate buffered saline (or physiological saline). It is named extractable nuclear antigen (ENA). Recognizing ENA polypeptide antibodies at the molecular level is a major advance in the study of antinuclear antibodies in the 1980s. It has now been found that there are more than 10 such antibodies. Anti-ENA antibodies are their collective name.
