Bacterial endotoxin test
Bacterial endotoxin test is to determine whether the bacterial endotoxin in the test product meets the requirements. Endotoxin is a lipopolysaccharide of the cell wall of Gram-negative bacteria, and its toxic component is lipid A. Cells are released after death and disintegration. Bacterial endotoxin test includes two methods, namely gel method and photometric method, the latter includes turbidity method and color matrix method. When testing for test products, any of these methods can be used for testing. When the measurement results are in dispute, unless otherwise specified, the results of the gel method shall prevail.
