Toxoplasma gondii
The staining test (MBD) is a reliable and sensitive method for diagnosing toxoplasmosis. It is positive in early infections and can be maintained for one year. However, the test requires live toxoplasma, which is not easy for general medical laboratories. . The positive reaction of the complement binding test appeared later in the course of the disease and turned negative more quickly. The combined use with the staining test is of reference value.
