Serum immunosuppressive acidic protein
Immunosuppressive acidic protein (IAP) is a subclass component of & alpha; 1-acid glycoprotein with abnormal sugar chain structure. It is mainly produced in hepatocytes, macrophages and granulocytes. Its relative molecular mass is 50kD, its isoelectric point is 3.0, and it contains 31.5% of carbohydrates. In vivo, it can inhibit the humoral and cellular immune functions of tumor-bearing hosts.
