Sikh test
The Sick test is an intradermal test that investigates whether the population has immunity to diphtheria, and its principle is the neutralization of exotoxin and antitoxin. A negative reaction within 24 to 48 hours after intradermal injection of toxin indicates that there is antitoxin in the body and immunity to diphtheria. A positive reaction such as redness and swelling on the skin indicates that there is no antitoxin or immunity in the body. In addition, the Sikh test can also be used to check the immune effect of diphtheria vaccination.
