Neutrophil bactericidal test

When neutrophils are phagocytizing bacteria, many factors (such as peroxidase, complement, etc.) in the neutrophils work together to kill the bacteria. If a certain enzyme (peroxidase) is lacking, although the phagocytosis function is normal, the phagocytosed bacteria cannot be killed, and the bacteria can even be carried along with them to spread the infection.
