Urinary aspartate aminotransferase

Is an aminotransferase. There are two isozymes, both dimers consisting of two identical polypeptide subunits. Each subunit of s-GOT has 412 amino acid residues, and the entire enzyme consists of 824 amino acids with a molecular weight of 92 000. m-GOT, each subunit has 401 amino acid residues, the entire enzyme is composed of 802 amino acids, and the molecular weight is 89 262. This enzyme is widely present in most tissues of humans and animals and is particularly abundant in heart, liver, kidney and skeletal muscle. It is usually obtained from animal heart muscle for medical, biochemical research, and diagnosis.
