Lupus anticoagulant factor
Abnormal kaolin PTT cannot be corrected with normal plasma, suggesting the presence of an inhibitor. The platelet phospholipid neutralization test for detecting lupus anticoagulant factor is positive. This anticoagulant factor can cause prolongation of kaolin PTT in vitro and is related to the tendency of thrombosis in vivo.
