Urinary aspartate transferase
Aspartate aminotransferase was formerly known as aspartate aminotransferase (GOT). Aspartate aminotransferase is widely present in tissue cells such as myocardium, liver, striated muscle, kidney, pancreas, spleen, lung, red blood cells, and also in body fluids such as plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, and bile. But heart, liver, kidney and striated muscle are the most abundant. Determination of serum aspartate aminotransferase has great clinical value for myocardial infarction, liver disease and muscular dystrophy.
