Loss of eye-head reflex
Introduction
Introduction One of the brainstem reflections, including horizontal cephalic and vertical ocular reflexes, should be quickly and sharply turned to the left and right 90° when making horizontal ocular reflexes. Sharply turn your head to your chest. The normal reaction is the rotation of the eye in the opposite direction of the head rotation. This reflex cannot be performed if there is cervical trauma.

Inspection diagnosis that the eye-head reflex disappears:
The normal reaction is the rotation of the eye in the opposite direction of the head rotation. In the coma patients with this reflex (doll's eyes positive) inter-brain brain lesions, with the coma deepening the reflexes disappeared, indicating that the lesion has affected the midbrain plane. Disappearance of head and eye reflex is a diagnostic criterion for brain death. When the brain is dead, the eye reflex disappears, and when the head is turned, the eye does not rotate. Diagnosis can be based on the above symptoms.
