Angioedema
Introduction
Introduction Angioedema, also known as giant urticaria, also known as quince edema, is due to a decrease in the level of C1 esterase inhibitors in the blood and tissues, or inactivity. It is the involvement of small blood vessels in the deep dermis and subcutaneous tissue. The mediators such as histamine cause vasodilation, increased permeability, and exudate from the blood vessels into the loose tissue to form localized edema. It is a common disease in dentistry. It is characterized by a sudden onset, but it is also rapid, and most patients have recurrent episodes. Certain drugs, such as aminoglycoside antibiotics, captopril, etc., may cause angioedema.

Symptoms of angioedema that are confusing:
The disease sometimes needs to be differentiated from other edema of the skin: such as contact dermatitis in the eyelids, which may resemble angioedema in the early stage, but soon there will be pleomorphic lesions such as papules, blisters and scars. Due to insect bites, acute wheal-like reactions caused by hedgehogs or secondary cellulitis, in addition to local swelling, there are symptoms such as redness, fever and tenderness for identification.
