Sutures separate
Introduction
Introduction The suture is the gap between the bone and the bone. Each bone of the human body has its own specific gap, and less than or greater than this specific gap will induce disease. The cranial suture is a gap between the five skulls. It is slightly separated after birth. This is a normal phenomenon of suture separation, which is about 3-4 months after birth. Pathological cranial suture separation, usually caused by hydrocephalus, congenital dysplasia, intracranial infection, intracranial hematoma, cranial developmental disorders, craniocerebral trauma, birth injury and other diseases.
Cause
Cause
Pathological cranial suture separation, usually caused by hydrocephalus, congenital dysplasia, intracranial infection, intracranial hematoma, cranial developmental disorders, craniocerebral trauma, birth injury and other diseases. The cranial sutures are slightly separated after birth, which is a normal separation of the sutures. Separation of the sutures in other places may be caused by physical stretching, sprains, bruises, etc. or the cranial suture of the human body may be broken due to loss of the original state after being stressed.
Examine

Related inspection
Bone and joint plain bone and joint soft tissue CT examination of bones and joints MRI examination of limbs
Use the index finger or middle finger to rub the suture, and then press the skull with the left thumb and the right thumb alternately to detect the separation of the suture. Other places can go to X-ray inspection. CT or MRI: If due to hydrocephalus, cerebral hemorrhage, brain injury, tumors, etc., the primary disease can be confirmed by CT examination. If necessary, cerebrospinal fluid pressure test, suspected infection-caused lesions, blood test can be performed.
Diagnosis
Differential diagnosis
If due to hydrocephalus, cerebral hemorrhage, brain injury, tumors, etc., the primary disease can be confirmed by CT examination. If necessary, cerebrospinal fluid pressure test, suspected infection-caused lesions, blood test can be performed. Separation of the suture may be due to physical stretching and should be slightly separated from the cranial suture after birth. This is a normal separation of the sutures.
Cranial suture: Use the index finger or middle finger to rub the suture, then press the skull with the left thumb and the right thumb alternately to detect the separation of the suture. Other places can go to X-ray inspection.
Hydrocephalus causes cranial suture separation, there will be head enlargement, headache, vomiting, blurred vision, optic nerve head edema, occasional diplopia, dizziness and seizures.
