Antithyroid peroxidase autoantibodies
Thyroid peroxidase is the main antigen component of thyroid microsomes, and its function is related to the synthesis of thyroxine. Antithyroid peroxidase antibodies or antithyroid microsomal antibodies may damage thyroid cells. The method for detecting anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies is similar to that for anti-thyroglobulin antibodies.
