Ascites

Any pathological condition that causes the amount of fluid in the abdominal cavity to increase by more than 200ml is called ascites, also known as ascites. Under normal conditions, there is a small amount of liquid (usually less than 200ml) in the abdominal cavity of the human body, which lubricates the intestinal motility. Many of the more common causes of ascites are cardiovascular disease, liver disease, peritoneal disease, kidney disease, nutritional disorders, malignant tumors, peritoneal metastasis, ovarian tumors, and connective tissue diseases.
