Anti-endothelial antibody
Systemic lupus erythematosus is an autoimmune disease involving multiple organ systems. The main immunological feature is a disorder of immune regulation. In addition to increased activation of T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes are activated polyclonally, causing patients to produce a variety of autoantibodies One of them is an anti-endothelial antibody (AECA). AECA can bind to vascular endothelial cells (EC), destroy EC through complement-mediated or antibody-dependent cytotoxicity, leading to vascular damage, and thus cause patients to develop a series of clinical symptoms associated with it.
