Whole blood glycated hemoglobin
Glycated hemoglobin is a non-enzymatic combination of hemoglobin and sugars. Its synthesis is slow and relatively irreversible. Its synthesis rate is directly proportional to blood glucose attempts. The ratio of glycated hemoglobin to total hemoglobin can reflect the average blood glucose level within 1 to 2 months before the measurement. It has become a good indicator of the glycemic control time of diabetic patients. When the glycemic control of diabetic patients is poor, the glycated hemoglobin concentration can be as high as normal 2 times more.
