Dehydroepiandrosterone
Dehydroisoandrostenone is an intermediate product in testosterone biosynthesis. It is mainly produced by 17β-hydroxysterol dehydrogenase, androstene-3β, 17β-diol, △ 5-3β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase and △ 5 The effect of △ 4-isomerase produces testosterone, which has a weaker androgenic effect, can be detected in urine, and is often excreted in the form of sulfate. These are thought to be androgens from the pararenal kidney. This steroid, which is produced in the fetal accessory kidney, undergoes 16α hydroxylation in the liver and the like, and becomes estriol in the placenta.
