Plasma methaemoglobin

Hemoglobin (Hi) can oxidize hemoglobin to high-iron (Fe3 +) hemoglobin from various oxides, and lose the ability to carry oxygen. Methemoglobin is reddish-brown, with four absorption bands of 634, 578, 540, and 500nm. From the absorbance, the hemoglobin concentration can be determined. Therefore, clinically, some degenerative hemoglobinemia can be diagnosed.
