Onychomycosis
Onychomycosis is a nail (toe) nail infection caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, and non-dermatophyte filamentous fungi (molds). Onychomycosis caused solely by the dermatophyte infection deck is called tinea unguium. Toenail ringworm is mostly transmitted by athlete's foot, while ringworm of the nail may be transmitted by ringworm on the hands or by direct contact with the infection due to ringworm on other parts of the body. Onychomycosis is commonly known as "gray nails", and Chinese medicine is called chicken paw wind, putty nails, etc., mostly due to the spread of hand, foot, and ringworm over time, which is caused by the day of disgrace.
