Parathyroid hormone test
The parathyroid hormone (PTH) test (Ellsoworth-Howard test) is the intramuscular or intravenous injection of PTH. During primary parathyroidism, the levels of cAMP and inorganic phosphorus did not increase significantly. During parathyroidism, urinary cAMP and phosphate excretion and urinary phosphorus / urinary creatinine ratio increased significantly, up to 10 times or more. There was no change in increased phosphate in urine during pseudoparathyroidism.
