Hemolytic anemia caused by copper poisoning

Patients who have seen acute copper poisoning with hemolysis clinically are common in the following situations: errors in copper sulfate treatment, excessive intake of copper sulfate, accidents, hepatolenticular degeneration (Wilson disease).
