Abdominal wall tension
Abdominal wall tension refers to the tension of the abdominal muscles when palpating the abdomen. It is determined based on the resistance of the abdominal muscles. The abdominal wall of a normal person has a certain tension, but it is soft to the touch and easily collapsed. It is said that the abdominal wall is soft. Some people, especially children, laugh because they are not accustomed to touching or itching, which results in spontaneous cramping of the abdominal muscles, called muscular strengthening. It can disappear after proper induction or diversion, which is normal. Certain pathological conditions can increase, decrease or disappear the tension in the whole abdomen or local area. This test can assist in determining the corresponding symptoms.
