Bone marrow bacterial culture is most valuable for the diagnosis of septicemia and bacteremia, and it has a differential diagnosis significance for fever, cachexia, and hepatosplenomegaly of unknown cause. Bacterial culture is to obtain live and purified pathogenic bacteria from specimens for further research and identification, determination of their sensitivity to drugs, preparation of vaccines or antigens.
