Serum chylomicrons

Chylomicrons are the largest lipoprotein particles in human plasma, and CM is the transport of most dietary TG from the small intestine absorption site to the systemic circulation. CM clears fast, with a half-life of 10 minutes. It cannot be detected after 12 hours of fasting in normal people. CM is located at the origin during lipoprotein electrophoresis. It should be noted that the samples should be fresh and not frozen when doing serum lipoprotein electrophoresis.
